The Lifestyle of Worship

Worship is not an event; it’s a lifestyle. It’s a continual overflow of our private encounters with God spilling into our corporate gatherings. When we come to worship services on “E,” expecting others to fill us, we miss the opportunity to give God our best. Instead, we should arrive full, ready to pour out from the abundance of what we’ve received throughout the week.
In 1 Corinthians 14:26, Paul describes a gathering where every individual comes with a song, a word, a revelation, or a tongue. This imagery challenges us to prepare our hearts and spirits before stepping into corporate worship. Imagine a service where every person brings their own supply of anointing, creating an atmosphere so charged with God’s presence that heaven touches Earth.
True worship requires intentional preparation. It’s not something we stumble into; it’s something we pursue actively. By spending time in God’s presence daily, we cultivate a familiarity with Him that transforms our worship experiences, both individually and corporately. Are you coming to worship full, or are you waiting to be filled?
Reflection Question: What steps can you take this week to ensure you come to worship services full and prepared to pour out?
