Leadership matters. The Bible tells us to pray for kings and all those in authority because our prayers have the power to impact the highest seat in the land. Whether it’s a president, a congressperson, or a pastor, the seat they occupy carries an authority that God designed. Even if the person in that seat doesn’t know God, they can come under the influence of the anointing placed on that seat. That’s why it’s vital for the church to pray for leadership.
When the enemy attacks leaders, it’s not just about the person—it’s about disrupting God’s plan for entire regions and nations. The church’s role is to intercede, offering a supply of prayer to counter those attacks. It’s not about agreeing with the leader’s politics; it’s about aligning with God’s authority and releasing His will over their decisions. When was the last time you put your politics aside and entered into a flow of prayer for your governmental leadership?
